Hello Friends, On Thursday Annie and I both slept in. For once jet-lag didn’t wake us up too early. I showered and we wandered down to the breakfast cafe in our hotel where we both got the buffet. It was … Continue reading

Recently I’ve been eyeing dinnerware at almost every store I wander into. I got a set of plates from my Aunt when I went off to college, but after a variety of room-mates and I here and there breaking a … Continue reading
Nantucket Day 4

Wednesday morning was cool and crisp with a morning full of fog. We started off the day with an hour or two at the beach, and then explored Bartlett’s farms. If I lived on the island, this would be one … Continue reading

We woke up Monday morning a bit groggy but ready to explore the island. We gathered the family together and walked into town to get something to eat at Black Eyed Susan’s. After they had been recommended by two friends, … Continue reading

Last weekend we had our prom at the Mexican Heritage Plaza. I was super excited to hear that it was planned for earlier in the school year, which meant we were able to include it in our yearbook!
Prom is such a milestone event, and I feel lucky that I am able to go every year and see my students looking so beautiful. They really dress up for it, and look like little stars on the red carpet. I have the distinct pleasure of taking a few photos for it each year, and it’s one of my favorite events as a high school teacher!
All the staff typically come, and look pretty swanky themselves! This year a small group of us met up for dinner at Left Bank before.
How was your prom? Do you have fond memories of it? Would you enjoy going to it every year?
Hot Summer Nights
After a fun two weeks on the East Coast, it was nice to settle back in to my little apartment. We celebrated a belated Father’s day with some fun zip-lining in Santa Cruz and some delicious pizza! I had received … Continue reading
