Now that it is officially fall/winter, I have been reaching for clothes that are soft, fuzzy, but most importantly, warm!
It was pretty cold on my way to work this morning, so being warm enough at work has become a very important goal when I pick out my clothes the night before ( I don’t have heat in my office, but I do use a small space heater at my desk). I have been reaching for scarfs, and layering them over cute collared shirts. While I have some scarfs, most have patterns, and I have been longing for more simple or classic color choices. For me, they also take the place of a necklace, so makes my mornings go a bit quicker when considering my accessories.

So many cute choices now that winter has arrived! I like infinity scarves because I don’t have to figure out how to tie them/knot/arrange them in a elegant manner at o’dark thirty. You put them on, and settle them around your neck, and you are done.
The first official day of fall is Sept 22nd, which happened to be yesterday. It’s already been cooler here in the mornings, and crisp evenings are happening more and more. I’ve been reaching for cardigans almost every day this last … Continue reading →
I had a great weekend. A good mix of friend time, exercise and family time. I love long weekends! Were you able to fit in a little bit of time for everything that you wanted to? These are all the things I’m currently wishing were in my closet.
I tend to wear a lot of black pants to work when I do choose to wear pants, which is mostly in the winter time when it’s too chilly for skirts and dresses. I think these flats seem perfect with black pants for fall, and I love a good cap toe. I’m trying to decide which I like more: the burgundy, the beige, or the grey! Which do you like? Which would you were the most to work?
How cute would this purse be with an all black outfit? Or a cute plaid shirt and jeans? I’ve been looking to invest in a cute blue purse, but haven’t yet pulled the trigger. I ended up getting my work purse for the new school year from them, and have loved it so far! It’s sturdy, roomy and the navy color gorgeously goes with everything. Do you have a blush purse yet?
I personally really love Fall. I like all of the things that make the cold crisp mornings and start of a new season feel so much better. So without adieu, here is my welcome to Fall Bucket List!
Explore a corn maze
Pick out some pumpkins to decorate your house with (i love the white mini-ones!)
Bake a pie
Make Chili (I love my dad’s recipe!)
Go apple picking (have a sunday planned to do that with my brother)
Build a crackling fire and enjoy a good book
Smell cinnamon Candles at Bath & Body Works and try not to buy every Fall/Holiday candle scent
Pull out the ol’ galoshes and splash in puddles
Cozy up with your blankets on the couch watching the fall shows premiere ( i’m so excited for so many shows to return)
Go for an early morning walk in the crisp foggy air
Decorate your front door or porch with some cute fall decorations
Start planning your halloween costume
Start your morning with a steaming cup of tea instead of coffee
find and devour ALL of the candy corn
I also love October because it’s my birthday month. Even without that special date, I love everything about the summer ending and a new season beginning. This year it really felt like our California summer lasted from March to well, now! I am really looking forward to pulling out my box of mittens, hats, scarfs and fuzzy socks!
How do you celebrate fall? Do you like the cooler temperatures of the upcoming weeks or do you wish summer would stick around?
I feel like each day feels really long, but the weeks and months go by quickly. Fall and Christmas are two of my favorite seasons, so I am trying to soak up every small moment. I officially had my first … Continue reading →
One of the things I look forward to when September ends (i always sing that song in my head for this whole month) is the return of fall shows. This year I am following more than usual, which might change … Continue reading →
