Pumpkin Patch in the Rain

Hello Friends

A few weekends ago O and I went to the Pumpkin Patch down the street from her house. It was a blustery, rainy day, but it was the time I had with her so off we went. We were all tricked out in rainboots, jackets and umbrellas cause Rain in California is no joke. Rare but usually a serious storm. I didn’t get that many pictures due to the weather conditions, but she loved helping me pick some out for my door step and my classroom for my students to draw in Visual Arts.

Now, every weekend she asks if we can go back. I wish we could kiddo! How did you prepare for fall? Did you find any decorative gourds to place around your house?

Scarfs Galore

Now that it is officially fall/winter, I have been reaching for clothes that are soft, fuzzy, but most importantly, warm!

It was pretty coldĀ on my way to work this morning, so being warm enough at work has become a very important goal when I pick out my clothes the night before ( I don’t have heat in my office, but I do use a small space heater at my desk). I have been reaching for scarfs, and layering them over cute collared shirts. While I have some scarfs, most have patterns, and I have been longing for more simple or classic color choices. For me, they also take the place of a necklace, so makes my mornings go a bit quicker when considering my accessories.

So many cute choices now that winter has arrived! I like infinity scarves because I don’t have to figure out how to tie them/knot/arrange them in a elegant manner at o’dark thirty. You put them on, and settle them around your neck, and you are done.
