Sharon Springs, NY

After a few days in Pittsburgh, Mom and I drove our little rental car up to Sharon Springs NY to visit my cousin Jeannette. The drive was pretty quick, 6 hours later and we were in a different state. This was only my second time there, and its a small sleepy town, but we had a great tour guide. đŸ™‚

We woke up early on our real first day in Sharon Springs to go berry picking at a small farm. The whole week we were on the east coast it was low 90’s and pretty humid. We hoped that by getting an early start we wouldn’t melt as much in the sun picking berries. It was totally the right call.

Later on in the week, we took some of the raspberries and made them into a very delicious sorbet.

Later on in the week we drove a short bit to a small river and had lunch at a little park nearby. We walked down the trail to a beautiful observation deck.

My cousin was a lovely host, and I had a ton of fun visiting her, her adorable sun, meeting her new (to me) dog, and seeing her sleepy little town. I hope to visit her again next summer.

Where is your extended family? Do you like to visit them and explore their town?

Love,
