Last Spring I opened up my email to see that one of my favorite artists of all times was going on Tour. It had been a few years since she had been to the City on a tour, so I was very excited.

I tried to bribe my dad and even Annie to come see her with me. Mikey was a champ and said he would come. We drove up to the City on a grey rainy day Monday. We found a tasty burger place (they had a yummy veggie burger for me) and enjoyed a meal out of the rain. We walked the few blocks to the venue and watched the starting band. I have been such a long time fan of Ingrid’s, I remember begging my dad to let me see her my senior year (he said yes and came with me!), seeing her in college in both Seattle and Santa Clara.

She is so funny, and crazy talented. Her band is fun, and the show is just an amazing time. It’s clear she does these shows because she loves the music, and maybe the money is a perk, but it’s clear fame hasn’t changed her much that I can see. I was on cloud 9 the rest of the week.
