In the last year, plastic bags were banned from grocery stores and shopping malls in San Jose. A measure started a few year back has slowly been implemented in the surrounding areas, including San Jose, Sunnyvale (where Roomie and I live) and Los Altos (where the parents live).

So, I now need totes to carry everything. From groceries, shopping, errands, to bringing things to school and cute totes have become a real thing.
